DOWNING WELLHEAD OFFICES SELL: AAE AUTOMATION to Expand Operations
Oklahoma City, OK – TDF PROPERTIES, LLC has officially acquired the property located at 8528 SW 2nd Street, a prominent site in Oklahoma City that has served as the headquarters for DOWNING WELLHEAD for over 35 years. This transition marks a significant milestone in the local industrial landscape, with AAE AUTOMATION set to occupy the expansive 41,210 sq. ft. facility.
AAE AUTOMATION, known for its diverse expertise in industrial engineering, is ready to enhance its operations at this new location. The company specializes in several key areas:
Industrial Manufacturing: AAE operates a UL508A panel shop, manufacturing custom products tailored to meet the unique needs of its customers.
Power and Energy: The firm designs and builds control panels for oil and gas clients while also focusing on innovative renewable energy projects.
Software Engineering: AAE's talented team excels in PLC programming, particularly with Allen Bradley software.
Having spent the last seven years at a smaller facility (3021 S. High, 16,944 sq. ft.), AAE AUTOMATION’s move reflects its substantial growth and commitment to meeting increasing market demands. The new property, situated on a 5-acre lot visible from I-40 between Council Rd and Morgan Rd, features multiple industrial buildings equipped with essential amenities such as cranes, drive-in doors, and office space. The location is marked by a distinctive oil rig and "Christmas Tree," providing easy identification for clients and partners.
The acquisition was finalized at a selling price of $4,000,000, or $97.06 per square foot, with DWE OKLAHOMA CITY PROPERTIES, LLC serving as the seller. The closing took place at Prime Title, facilitated by Teresa Koeppe.
